Having pain in leg? might be you are calcium deficient?

After 30 or 35 women should not take their health very lightly. You should take care of your body as you do for your children. One of my friend used to be busy with her family, job and other responsibilities, but one day suddenly her right side of our body started paining. She ignored it for more than a year. The pain started increasing so she felt the need of a doctor. Doctor did some tests and diagnosed it as osteoporosis.

She was lucky that it was diagnosed at an early stage, otherwise bones would have been so weak that she would be bedridden for her life. Everything starts off with deficiencies of some minerals. In this case it was calcium deficiency.

Every woman should concentrate on having right amount of calcium intake. The deficiency of calcium is a silent killer as it leads to memory loss, confusion, muscle cramps and pain in legs and slowly whole body.

You should take pain in leg or backbone seriously as they are the first signs of calcium deficiency. When our body doesn't get right amount of calcium there can be two types of effects.

Osteoporosis: This happens when your calcium intake does not match the required amount, so the calcium in the bones starts to become thin and weak.

Hypocalcemia: This occurs when the calcium in your diet is not sufficient for normal functioning, the body pulls up calcium from bones to maintain normal blood calcium levels to perform vital functions of nerves, muscles, heart and brain. This also slowly leads to osteoporosis and thinning of bones.

So it is is important to take right amount of calcium rich foods such as milk, cheese, salmon, tofu, sardines, almonds, soyabean etc.

Do take care of your body and be happy both inside and outside.
